OUR STORY

Namibia Aquatic Sports Federation (NASFED) is the national sports body for aquatic sports codes tasked with the promotion, organization and control of aquatic sports on a national and international level.

Although operational since 1973, the federation (previously known as Namibia Amateur Swimming Union and Namibia Swimming Federation) was inaugurated post independence and was officially affiliated to World Aquatics (formerly FINA) in the beginning of 1992. NASFED is also affiliated to Africa Aquatics (formerly CANA) through the regional organization – CANA Zone IV.  Locally, NASU is registered with the Namibian Sport Commission (NSC), and the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC).

NASFED is governed by its Constitution which mandates the Council and the elected Executive Committee to make decisions on behalf of the registered members.
